ATI TEAS
The ATI TEAS is used to determine the candidate’s academic preparedness level. The exam covers the areas of reading, mathematics, science, English and language usage. You will be given a score and a rank of developmental, basic, proficient, advanced, or exemplary. The higher the score and the rank, the higher the candidate will rank in the pool of applicants.
TEAS Exam scores must be earned within one year of seeking candidacy to the School of Nursing and Health Professions. The test can be retaken once each application period after a 30 day wait time.
If you plan to seek BSN candidacy, you are urged to go to the TEAS website and start prepping for the exam. They have a suggested six-week study plan available on the website.
For cost and more information on preparing for the ATI TEAS, please go to www.atitesting.com/teas. Cumberland University Library has two TEAS prep books on reserve. There are study manuals, online practice tests and a SmartPrep Tutorial available on the ATI website.
In order to reserve your seat for the TEAS, you will need to first create an ATI student account, then register and pay for the exam. Please note that testing space is limited so register and pay in advance. Information on how to create your ATI account, register and prepare for the exam can be found at this link.
* Scores must be earned within one (1) year of entering the School of Nursing and must be taken at Cumberland University or an approved ATI testing site.
