About

The online MSN Nurse Educator emphasis is designed to prepare nurses for educational roles in academia, healthcare organizations, and healthcare systems. The Nurse Educator emphasis provides an in-depth review of learning theories, research, and best practices in nursing education. The graduate student analyzes teaching strategies for diverse populations and environments, and incorporates theory to practice. The program prepares the graduate student to develop program curriculum, deliver content, and perform assessments of program outcomes.

  • Earn your MSN in 5 semesters
  • Start your courses soon — there are 2 start dates per year: Fall and Spring semesters
  • Classes are asynchronous. Logging on at least 3 times a week is required.
  • Network with nurses from other hospitals and medical facilities - they are your classmates.
  • The only difference with an online degree program is how you learn, not what you learn. You will earn the same, accredited MSN healthcare organizations want, but study when and where you want.

MSN Mission

The mission of the Master of Science in Nursing program is to build upon the undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree to educate and empower the professional nurse for leadership that is adaptable in a rapidly changing, complex healthcare environment and allows them to function as a change agent in healthcare, education, and organizational system through an evidence-based curriculum leading to a concentration in Nursing Education or Nurse Executive Leadership and Administration.
