Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society
The mission of Sigma Theta Tau (Sigma) is to develop nurse leaders anywhere to improve healthcare everywhere. Jeanette C. Rudy School of Nursing was awarded a charter in November 2020 for their own chapter, Alpha Alpha Kappa.
The criteria for invitation for undergraduate
students include completion of half of the nursing curriculum, achieve academic excellence with a 3.0 GPA, rank in the top 35% of their graduating class and meet expectations of academic and professional integrity. Students in our RN-BSN program
also are eligible for invitation if they have completed 12 credit hours and meet the other eligibility criteria as listed above. Master’s students must have completed ¼ of the nursing curriculum and obtain a GPA of 3.5 in addition to the other criteria. Cumberland has a large pool of potential candidates for possible invitation.
