Art and Design with Education Teacher Licensure

Description

The mission of the Art and Design program is to engage every student to develop a passion for knowledge, innovation, and creativity by providing a strong foundation of fundamentals and a nurturing program through interactions with faculty who assist each student with educational experiences and guidance in attaining their individual goals and aspirations in art. Candidates for Art teacher licensure should work with an art advisor and an education advisor to ensure appropriate course selection. Please review courses of study carefully and work with advisors early and often to plan course selection. Candidates have few or no elective courses available, so advisor consultation in both areas is especially important. The School of Humanities, Education, & the Arts has specific GEC and grade requirements.
