Mentoring Program
Established by the offices of Career Services & Internships and Alumni Services, the CU Mentor Program fosters meaningful relationships between current junior and senior students, alumni & the Cumberland community. This program was created to further help students prepare for success upon graduation. Mentors are paired with mentees in related majors or career interests, and agree to share their professional and personal expertise and experiences with current students on such topics as academic guidance, career advice, and personal development.
Mentors and Mentees are advised to meet at least monthly, whether in person or by zoom, depending on availability and personal location. Suggested topics are provided to guide the development of the Mentor/Mentee relationship. After completion of the first semester of mentoring, participants may continue in an information mentoring relationship on their own, or mentors and mentees may request new connections. There is no fee to participate as a mentee, and mentors are not compensated.
