Cumberland seniors Kayala Hoppenjans and Kaitlin Kralj were named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes on Friday, as announced by the national office at the conclusion of the NAIA Championships in Clermont, Fla.
Student-athletes must be a junior or senior and maintain a 3.50 grade-point-average to be eligible for the award. Kralj posts a 3.92 GPA in Health and Human Performance while Hoppenjans holds a 3.86, also in Health and Human Performance.
A total of 466 student-athletes from 137 institutions were honored by the NAIA.
