Kappa Sigma and Sigma Chi Recruitment Week
The brothers of Kappa Sigma and Sigma Chi host a week of recruitment where each chapter holds their own events for prospective members. Then, chapters hold their own invitation-only events for prospective members. The following day, chapters hand out membership bids. If you receive a bid, you have the opportunity to accept, defer, or decline membership. Interested men are encouraged to attend the All Greek-sponsored events to learn about the traditions and values of the organizations to find their best fit.
Panhellenic Council Sorority Recruitment
The Panhellenic Council hosts a formal recruitment in the Fall Semester, usually held in early September. Women who are interested in joining either semester can sign up for formal recruitment in the Office of Residence Life and Greek Affair. A small fee is collected from each registered woman and used for recruitment expenses and Panhellenic programs held throughout the year. During Spring Semester, chapters host open events to showcase themselves and prospective members a chance to learn about the chapters. If you receive a bid, you may choose to accept, defer, or decline membership. Membership in the Spring Semester is limited to meet the needs of each organization.
National Pan-Hellenic Council Membership Intake process
The National Pan-Hellenic Council conducts a Membership Intake process. This usually opens with an event hosted by each fraternity and sorority to provide information to interested students. Membership information specific to each fraternity and sorority is provided at these events. Once you choose a chapter and make an application, there is a more formal period for intake. This process includes our Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
