Robert L. and Susan K. McDonald Scholarship

Established in 2017 through gifts by members of the Cumberland University Board of Trust, this scholarship fund recognizes the exemplary leadership of Robert L. McDonald as Board Chairman from June 2013 to May 2017. Priority consideration for this scholarship will be given to students who have earned an Associate’s Degree through the Tennessee Promise Program at Cumberland University. The intent is to aid such students as they continue their studies toward a Bachelor’s Degree. Financial need will be the primary factor in selecting recipients. Once a student is selected as a recipient of a McDonald Scholarship, the award will automatically renew each year as long as the student remains in good standing with the University and maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA. This award can be made for no more than four semesters to any one student. Recipients must complete a scholarship application and essay and submit by the appropriate due date.
