GYÖRGYI MIHÁLYI
Back to All FacultyBorn and raised in Hungary, Györgyi Mihályi serves as the Director of International Student Services and PDSO at Cumberland University. She holds an undergraduate degree in Education from Szeged, Hungary, and a second degree in Business and Marketing from Kent State University in Ohio. Mihályi also earned a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, accompanied by an Internationalization Certificate (Kent State).
Mihályi’s journey as a former international student sparked her interest in higher education, particularly in supporting international students. Her background as an international student and scholar advisor has strengthened her commitment to enhancing the student experience in the United States. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate in the Higher Education Administration program at Kent State University, where her dissertation research focuses on the sense of belonging among international women in undergraduate programs.
Prior to joining Cumberland University, Mihályi spent nearly a decade at the Wick Poetry Center, where she enjoyed fostering creative writing and poetry collaborations such as her favorite project: the World Poetry Reading.
