Students from Cumberland University’s Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions met and thanked Tennova Lebanon administrators for their scholarship contributions last week.
Tennova Lebanon was the 2018 Notes for Nurses Champion of Nursing Sponsor, which provided scholarships to five Cumberland University nursing students, called the Tennova Scholars. Each of the five selected students was awarded $2,000 in scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year.
The five selected students were Kaitlin Corum, Kelsey Rumfelt, Kathryn Sherman, Brittany Roberts Winston and Amanda VanZile. This scholarship was proved on an at-need basis to students who have proven their dedication to prepare for a career as a registered nurse.
Dean of the Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions Dr. Mary Bess Griffith is thankful to Tennova for their continuous support.
“Without Tennova Lebanon’s generous gift, these students may not get the opportunity to further their nursing education at Cumberland,” said Dr. Griffith. “The Notes for Nurses event is a tremendous asset to the Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions and its students, and I look forward to this year’s event.”
Tennova will also be the 2019 Notes for Nurses Champion of Nursing sponsor, with a portion of the contributions going towards nursing student scholarships for the 2019-2020 academic year.
The 2019 Notes for Nurses event will be held Saturday, October 26. More information on tickets will be available soon.
