Tammye and Gary Whitaker Scholarship

Description:

This scholarship will give priority to Cumberland University students who have earned an Associate’s Degree through the Tennessee Promise Program. The intent is to aid such students as they continue their studies toward a Bachelor’s Degree. Secondary priority will be given to students who have a documented disability on file in the Disability Services Office of the University and who receive accommodations for the disability. In the event there are no applicants in a given year who meet the above criteria, the scholarships from this fund may be awarded to other qualified students for that year. Financial need will be the determining factor in selecting the recipient. Once a student has been selected the scholarship will automatically renew each year as long as the student maintains a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
