A reception for a new art exhibit at Cumberland University, “Digital Storytelling,” by Sally Ham Govan, will be Oct. 18 from  4:30-6 p.m. in the Heydel Fine Arts Building’s Adams Gallery at Cumberland University. The reception is free and open to the public.

Sally Ham Govan teaches graphic design, typography, and 2D computer illustration as an adjunct instructor at Cumberland University. She has a Master’s of Fine Arts in Illustration degree from Hartford University and a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Drawing degree from the University of Tennessee.
The illustrations in “Digital Storytelling” were created using Adobe Illustrator along with graphite drawings.The exhibited city scenes represent iconic views of Lebanon, Knoxville, Pasadena, the Fort Worth rodeo, a New York City sidewalk, and the Knoxville Symphony performing in the Tennessee Theater.

The exhibit is open from 8-5 daily and will be on display until Oct. 20, 2017.
