Welcome, Phoenix Family!
With over 8,000 active alumni, our Alumni Association has a number of opportunities for alumni to stay connected to their alma mater such as The 1842 Society, CU Book Club, Mentorship Program, or serving on the CU Alumni Association Board. If you have any questions or would like more information on how you can be involved, feel free to email me at cahaynes@cumberland.edu or give me a call at (615)-547-1362.

About Us
The Alumni Association Board of Directors serves as the governing body of the Cumberland University Alumni Association and has oversight of the executive, financial, and administrative affairs of the Association.
Student Alumni Ambassadors
The Student Alumni Ambassador (SAA) program builds relationships among students and alumni to create a culture of philanthropy at Cumberland University. The SAA program focuses on providing opportunities to acquire and sharpen leadership and communication skills while building their personal and professional network of alumni, donors, and other student leaders on campus.
Ways to Give
The 1842 Society
Whether it’s $18.42 or $1,842, gifts to The 1842 Society support the Pay it Forward Scholarship, which is awarded to students that need financial assistance for books and fees. CU alumni and supporters have raised over $13,000 for the Pay it Forward Scholarship through The 1842 Society membership dues.
Rise Together
The Annual Giving Appeal for Cumberland University supports every student, faculty member and program on campus. Learn how we can ‘Rise Together’ and fulfill our mission to provide a quality, affordable education to students from all backgrounds, including those who cannot afford the full cost of our tuition.
Letterman's Club
The CU Football program is grateful for the former players, coaches, managers, and trainers that have made our program what it is today. The goal for the Letterman’s Club is to “Get Athletes Together Again”. This program allows former players to reconnect with each other and to support their football team.
