Orientation and Residency Dates
In order to provide every student with a comprehensive and practical educational experience at Cumberland University, your program will consist of five fully online courses and five “hybrid” courses. Additionally, you will be enrolled in “Field Experience” courses, which will also have a residency component.
Our hybrid and “Field Experience” courses will require attendance at a weekend residency to be held on the campus of Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN, (Nashville, TN area.) Classes will be held on Friday and Saturday of your residency week and will be led by the professor of record for those classes. Residency dates will be specified in the course information that you receive from your CU professors, once you are enrolled in program courses.
At the beginning of your first semester in the program, there will be a required virtual orientation welcoming you to the university, introducing you to university leaders and to people who will work with you to ensure that you have everything that you need for a successful start.
