Aaron Bellar serves as the University Chaplain while also teaching Foundations of Scholarship and Learning. Aaron attended Lee University earning his Bachelor of Science in Biblical Education and Intercultural Studies. He earned his Master of Divinity from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary prior to commissioning as an Ensign in the United States Navy Chaplain Corps.
Currently, he is a Captain, Chaplain Corps, United States Navy (Reserve) and serves as Command Chaplain, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, New Orleans, Louisiana.  In his 29 years of military service he has supported Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard units.  His military education includes Basic Officer Leadership Course, Advanced Officer Leadership Course, and Staff & Leadership through the Naval Chaplains School, Newport Rhode Island.  He has additional graduate education in Strategy and Policy through the Naval War College as well as in Human Security and Resilience through Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
